Advanced Open Water Instructor - Continuing Education as a Key to Success!

Open Water Instructors may qualify to teach specialty courses by attending a seminar, co-teaching with an Instructor qualified for the Specialty Course, or documenting significant experience and purchasing course teaching materials. The upgrade is easy by simply submitting the application form the the SSI Headquarter.

Open Water Instructors who hold at least 4 Specialty Instructor Ratings including Diver Stress&Rescue qualifiy for the Advanced Open Water Instructor Rating. Advanced Open Water Instructors are automatically entitled to teach the “Science of Diving” Specialty Course and the Dive Guide program.
