- Weather Situation
A series of cold fronts will affect the State during the forecast period. The most active front will reach the far west of Victoria during Saturday night and extend throughout the remainder of the State during Sunday as an associated low pressure system develops near Tasmania. On Monday the low pressure system will move over the Tasman Sea as a high pressure system develops over the Bight.
Forecast for Thursday until midnight
Winds: Northerly 10 to 15 knots. Seas: 0.5 metres.
Forecast for Friday
Winds: North to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots during the morning before tending northerly 20 to 25 knots in the evening. Seas: 0.5 metre increasing to around 1 metre during the day.
Forecast for Saturday
Winds: North to northwesterly 20 to 30 knots tending west to northwesterly during the morning then tending north to northwesterly by early evening. Seas: 1 to 2 metres.
Forecast for Sunday
Winds: Northwesterly 20 to 30 knots shifting west to southwesterly at 20 to 30 knots during the late morning. Seas: 1 to 2 metres.
Forecast for Monday
Winds: Southwesterly 15 to 25 knots easing to 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon. Seas: 0.5 to 1.5 metres.
