- Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred to the south of Tasmania extends a strong ridge northwards across western Victoria. The ridge is expected to move gradually east on Thursday before weakening on Friday. A low pressure system will slowly cross Bight waters on Thursday and Friday but will stop well short of Victoria then move northwards and weaken out over South Australia during the weekend. A new high high pressure system will then cross the Southern Ocean to approach Tasmania on Sunday.
