- Weather Situation
A low pressure system is centred over the Tasman Sea and a weak ridge of high pressure extends across Bass Strait. A trough of low pressure will approach western Victorian coastal waters tonight then will move eastwards across Bass Strait during Monday. Another weak ridge of high pressure will cross Bass Strait on Tuesday as a low pressure system forms over the Bight. The low will move eastwards from SA to NSW on Wednesday, reaching the Tasman Sea later Thursday as the next ridge of high pressure extends from the Bight to Tasmania.
